The cinema chairs at the Rex have travelled a long way to be here.
Today, these chairs continue their story through our Chair Naming Program.
These Chairs Have a Story to Tell
They were sourced from Wallis Cinemas, a well-known South Australian cinema group that operates a mix of heritage-listed and modern venues across Adelaide and regional South Australia. We were fortunate to purchase the chairs at a very reasonable price, giving them a new life here in Daylesford.
The chairs arrived at the Rex just in time for The Block makeover in April, thanks to the generosity (and dedication!) of Susan and Brian Sutton, who made the trip to Mount Barker on a very hot weekend to collect them.
